Common Referrals from Sydney Families
Common reasons families in Sydney seek our services
Sydney's competitive academic environment means ADHD often presents as underachievement at selective schools, homework battles, or teacher concerns about focus. We see referrals from schools across Sydney seeking comprehensive diagnosis.
Many Sydney families require formal autism diagnosis for NDIS access. Our assessments contribute to NDIS applications and ongoing management of social and emotional differences.
Particularly common during HSC years and transitions to selective schools. Physical symptoms on school mornings, avoidance behaviours, and social withdrawal.
Combined ADHD and anxiety, mood disorders in adolescents, or cases where previous assessments have been inconclusive. Our psychiatrists specialise in untangling complex presentations.

No, Lionheart provides telehealth-only services. This means your child attends via secure video call from your home anywhere in Sydney. There's no physical waiting room, no travel through Sydney traffic, and no parking costs. Many Sydney families prefer this as it reduces their child's pre-appointment anxiety and works around school schedules.
Yes! For ADHD assessments, we send a secure online link to your child's teacher for the Vanderbilt Teacher Assessment Scale. Teachers at Sydney schools (public and private) can complete it during their planning time. We've worked with teachers at schools across the Eastern Suburbs, North Shore, Inner West, and Western Sydney - they're familiar with these assessment forms.
Lionheart's current wait time is 1-2 months from referral to first appointment. We triage cases and can often accommodate them sooner. For current fee and availability information, please contact us or visit our pricing page.
Lionheart does not bulk bill. However, with a GP referral, your child is eligible for Medicare rebates. We provide transparent pricing upfront - visit our pricing page for current fees.
We serve all Sydney suburbs via telehealth including Eastern Suburbs (Bondi Junction, Double Bay, Bellevue Hill, Vaucluse), North Shore (Mosman, Chatswood, Lindfield, Turramurra, Pymble, Wahroonga), Northern Beaches (Manly), Inner West (Balmain, Newtown), and more.
